About Gigi & Bloom
In our own words
Hello, we’re Gigi and Bloom, two little dogs who have always lived close to what matters most, a loving home filled with care and beautiful wool. Our mama Lalita is a designer who has spent her career working with superfine Tasmanian Merino wool. While she created pieces for people, we were always nearby, watching, hoping, and wishing for something of our own.
One day, she made it. A jumper just for us. Not the itchy or synthetic kind, but soft, breathable, and kind to the earth. That was the beginning of Gigi & Bloom.
Each jumper is handknit in northern Tasmania by Marilyn and her team. Marilyn is an artisan with decades of experience, and puts all her care and skill into each knit as well as ensuring the entire team is creating beautifully crafted pieces with precision.
Our Artisans use White Gum Wool from Nan Bray’s regenerative farm. Her sheep live full lives among thriving biodiversity, producing fibre that is ethical, pure, and exceptionally soft. The sheep wag their happy tails as they graze on native weeds and grasses and they live our their entire life on the farm.
From start to finish, every knit carries the story of Tasmania. We call this soft provenance, a thoughtful kind of luxury that honours origin, integrity, and beauty.
These jumpers aren’t just cute, they mean something. They offer warmth, care, and the feeling of being truly valued.
